It was Great
Having come from a long line of southern cooks, I was delighted with the apple dumpling dessert I received. It was just the right balance of flaky and moist as well as sweet. It’s obvious he has a passion for what he does and I would highly recommend this gifted young man’s tasty desserts!by: Kristi Lippincott

1. The first thing I noticed was how small it was. Just the right portion size for a wonderful desert. Just right. 2. It was not over cooked or had that little "burn" on the edges like most fruit pies have. 3. When I bit into it was SO soft. It was so easy on my palate. I could tell it had been perfectly cooked. Just right. I looked at the crust itself and realized it had been home made just by how flaky it was. That with how soft it was re reminded me of how good home cooked verses non home cooked food is. This was made from scratch! 4. The spices in this were done just right! Absolute to perfection in my opinion. The taste was so smooth and nothing in any of the ingredients was over powering. Who ever made these really KNOWS what they are doing. SERIOUSLY! Sort of reminds me of the old saying; "Better than MOM makes." Well in this case I would have to say yes. 5. I noticed that it resembled a croissant that is filled with fresh apples. I loved that presentation of the desert. It's not a pie or something deep fried like you see in other places. This makes this desert very unique and I liked that aspect of it. As I pondered the taste and presentation of this wonderful dish, I felt it had a French flair to it. This desert demands you slow down in life and really enjoy the experience as the French so often do in their dining experience which to me is reflective of this life that we should enjoy our lives way more than we actually do. That's the message I got from the food. "Slow down and enjoy my life more." With my wife present and also enjoying the experience, it only serves to bring us as a family and two love birds closer together as we enjoy and experience this life together. That I believe is the way of the French in how they express themselves. Life is slower but sweeter and that makes for a very good way of life itself. In such a fast paced mix of cultures we have here in this area of Central Texas, this is not just a desert but an experience that felt like a breath of fresh air. Very well done!by: John Sheridan

First my wife Tammy's honest review. This tastes like an expensive item from a 5 star restaurant. I could taste the freshness in every bite. It's tender & fresh. Cinnamon was just right.... It reminds me of a croissant but, sweet. It's a nice treat. I'd like to sample more please :)by: Tammy Sheridan

Yum, yum, yum! Am I allowed to lick the package it came in? This tasted so good, with just enough cinnamon and spice on the apple, and the pastry was flaky and buttery. Delicious, and I wish I could have had another one for after dinner tonight. I wish there were a bit more filling, but that is the only thing I can say that I even *thought* about not liking. Home run and I hope to see these more in the future.by: Cassie

Imagine a buttery, flaky croissant with the best of your Grandma's apple pie filling in the middle. Now imagine it fresh and warm in your hand, with a sugary crisp bottom and the scent of cinnamon wafting up into your nose. You can smell the butter, the warm, inviting spices, and the soft but not mushy apple. You can imagine just how good this will be. Guess what? I didn't have to imagine after I had a piece of an apple dumpling from AJ's Fruit in Dessert today. It hit all the perfect notes for a small after dinner dessert or a treat any time you feel like being indulgent. The size is perfect for three or four bites - enough that you don't feel overly full but you don't feel deprived, either.by: Missy Pratt

The apple dumpling I tested was simply delicious. The apple was cooked to the correct texture not over cooked and not still hard. The spices were well balanced, not to much cinnamon or not enough. The dumpling was cooked evenly throughout. The sweet was not overwhelming for the treat. It was very well balanced. I could have eaten at least a dozen in one sitting. Thank you for the opportunity to sample your product. Let me know when and where it will become available to purchase. Thanks a bunch.by: Calvin Starritt

Got the free sample and holy crap these things are so very delicious! If their other creations taste as good, say good bye to your diet! The texture was a little crisp on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside, they just melt in your mouth. the cinnamon was a little subtle but blended nicely with the apple and then there was the buttery rich flavor blended with the cinnamon to just make you taste buds excited and make me sad I didn't have more. I salute you this was an excellent culinary creation. I worked 15 yrs in the food service industry from bus boy to manager and these were some of the best I have ever tasted . Give'em a try!by: Lee Horsley
